Display SARS Codes for Custom Payslip Items During Setup and Use

We’re excited to let you know that we’ve made it easier to verify the SARS code applied to each custom payslip item.

Previously, when you were setting up a custom item or adding it to an employee’s payslip, the associated SARS code was not displayed anywhere on the system. Now, we’ve added SARS code visibility in two places:

• During setup: When creating or editing a custom payslip item, you’ll see the SARS code that will be applied.
• During use: The SARS code is displayed when you’re adding a custom item to an employee’s payslip.

For items where the SARS code depends on how they’re set up – for example, whether income is taxed annually or as overtime – the SARS reporting section updates as you adjust the settings, so you can confirm the correct code before saving. For more information, please visit our help page.

This change makes it easier to catch any mismatches before they surface during EMP501 reconciliations.
