SimplePay has a built-in system item to accommodate the special tax and reporting requirements of a restraint of trade payment. To add the item on SimplePay:

1. Go to Employees on the left-hand menu and select the relevant employee.
2. Click on Add next to Payslip Inputs.
3. Select Restraint Of Trade under Income.
4. Enter the amount. This will be taxable and will be reported under code 3613 on the employee’s IRP5/IT3(a).
5. Click Save.
