Donations made by employees through payroll entitles them to a taxable income deduction. The deduction may not exceed 5% of the employee’s remuneration, after deducting pension, provident and retirement annuity fund contributions.

SimplePay has a system item that is configured in line with these requirements. To add a donation:

  • Go to Employees and select the relevant Employee.
  • Click on Add next to Payslip Inputs.
  • Click on Donations.
  • Enter the Amount.
  • Click Save.
